This is Tyris, the abusive husband (through an arranged marriage) to Jessica as he's going to appear in the first issue.

As usual, done in pen and ink and colored in Photoshop. The pattern on the cloak is a somewhat-African-looking pattern I found on the internet (royalty-free, fortunately) and just switched to black-and-white, put it on a layer set to Multiply, and made it partially transparent. I thought about attempting to warp the image so it follows the folds, but I wouldn't even know how to go about that, plus I kind of like the look of a 2-D pattern on a 3-D figure--very manga =P
