In order to combat sinful gluttony as well as the people who defend it, 50 years ago the Galbian Empire poured millions into recruiting gunsmiths and magitek scientists to develop some level of magitek. Thus came the creation of the Galbian Rifleman Corp, men and women armed with magitek energy rifles that can burn fat or riddle someone with holes with the flip of a switch. While some noblity complained that these are dishonorable weapons, most stopped complaining when they showed their effectiveness and stopped losses from being so unacceptable.
