Understandable, I hated being around smoke growing up. I’m still not fond of being around cigarettes and cigars. But even as a kid, I didn’t mind pipes at all, and found it enjoyable.
As for pipes themselves, I always feel like they add more personality to a character. The kind of pipe shape they have especially can add more to who someone is without saying anything.
