This image made me laugh aloud. I couldn't help but be reminded of the first time I tried building a "Classic" ship in a bottle model. I "Cheated" later on and used one of those glass bottle cutters and sawed the bottom off the bottle, inserted the model and the scenery, then glued the bottle back together. To hide the cut seam, I glued a leather band around the bottle, and used another band to create the impression that the straps were holding the bottle to a wooden base. I think the fellow I gave it to still has it.
