Birthed in the inky darkness of some long-forgotten cave, the lickwyrm is a gargantuan creature feared for its insatiable appetite. Although its four massive eyes can see in arcane spectrums, it relies heavily on the olfactory organs in its many tentacles to navigate its surroundings.

Its saliva contains a powerful neurotoxin that allows it to overpower its prey and feed without interruption. A brush with its tongue can paralyze even the sturdiest of warriors, and a wound from its fangs is often fatal. Its thick, rubbery skin is slick and difficult to penetrate, protecting it from the elements and predation.

It hoards bones to build its nest, swallowing any that it finds and regurgitating them in its lair, along with the skeletal remains of its meals. Its gruesome throne is testament to centuries of bottomless hunger.
