(trigger warning: body gore)
This is my D&D character's mother, Diona. She had once been labeled as the Queen of her village for her introduction of herbal remedies in the use of medicine. Once a former scholar, she was a very smart Queen who played her cards out right. She always stayed true to her ideals and made sure to enforce a strict guideline of ethics to her village.
Eventually, she met another wood elf in a neighboring village. He was of high class, but not royalty. Diona did not care about this, and for once acted out of passion and with her heart, but made sure to keep this relationship hidden. With this elf she eventually bore two sons, and one daughter. The villages stayed peaceful for sometime, until one fateful day all had been revealed.
Diona had seen her lover assault one of her younger apprentices she had been guiding. This tore Diona, she had risked so much and believed her life was to be living this beautiful lie forever. To see this disgusting display of betrayal and pure evil, led to Diona losing her composure she had so well maintained. Knowing she will forever see a foul pervert in the eyes of her children forever stuck with her. Knowing his putrid flesh once bore life. Knowing he was allowed to live so long.
Diona knew she must do something to bring redemption to this girl, but over time Diona began warping her ideas more into grand demonstrations. She began hating the neighboring village, and all who may be from there. Diona did only what she thought was right, she ordered her previous lover to be skinned from the waist down, and rubbed with water, lye, and lemon. He would be scrubbed everyday, three times a day, until he disintegrated enough and died. She took his penis and placed it ever so nicely inside a little box and had that box sent to the King in the village nearby. This led to an inevitable war.
Diona's village was victorious, but not without consequence. Since Diona had wanted to guide her people into war, she was hit by a curse, permanently caused her body to flake away in gold, with every move, bit of friction, or touch. She lays in agony waiting for a cure. Over the years, her village keeps her healthy and alive. Keeping her forever to stay still in a giant glass coffin-esk medical bed with gifts, flowers, and music all provided by the people of the village. Her eldest son step to the throne, while her daughter goes on a wild journey to find a cure for her mother. Slowly wasting away, Diona yearns for her daughter to save her. Her daughter searches feverishly everyday and night in hopes to eventually save her mother from her impending doom.
