With the exception of devArt my at the time, scrapbook dumping site where I posted all sorts of random from hand drawn to 3D images made with SketchUp, I don't recall sharing an image like this anywhere else.
Thunder and Lightning refers to Special Operations Vehicle 02 Project THOR, dubbed Blue Thunder, and white lightning a numberless, nameless, generic clone of a Sud/Soko SA-341 Gazelle which was BT's body base for the movie and TV series rig.
I'm chucking this here on FA for nostalgia reasons, if anything. xD
creds~
Blue Thunder by Rastar/Columbia Pictures
SA-341 Gazelle by Sud Aviation/Aerospatiale

The designers and props department for the film visited a government contractor to get a rundown on what bleeding edge tech and weapons would realistically appear on their chopper from hell. aside from being very helpful, they offered real machineguns with free ammo... The crew politely thanked them, said "no", and left very quickly...
