The Iron Lich. is the embodiment of Pain. raw physcial pain. unending unyeilding without relife.

what happens to a person to become an iron lich is not willful. its origonaly ment as a punishment. the person is cursed with undeath and entomed inside an iron maiden where they are ment to live out this undead excistence in constant pain as metal spikes are driven into their bodies, slowly turning.

ussualy done to spellblades or spellcasters who were charged with protecting a royal family member who failed in their duty.

(heavily inspired by the 1999 Movie Mummy's curse of imhotep and my own real life aches and pains as i get older.)

the purpose of the pain is to prevent them from useing their magic to escape free themselves of aliviate their suffering. and just like Imhotep if an Iorn Lich DOSE get free. they weild extrordenary power. they can rust metal with a single look. they can command undead, casts powerful Pain based spells and curses. they can use telekensis, metal bending and so on. very powerful creatures who are immune to all sensations if once released from their imprisonment.
