I just need you to imagine that you're on the starboard side of the ship you've been occupying for so very long now, and whilst it would be nice to say you make it home... you unfortunately (fortunately) end up looking down into the murky waters below and find yourself at the mercy of a rather large creature looking for a meal. It's tendrils make it quick and before you have any chance to truly react to the beast, you are slorped down into it's writhing slimy maw and gulped into your new home. At least for awhile, alas it is a rather temporary home as you will more so be used to pad out the creatures large form later.
