The Senior Officers are often the butt of many jokes of the OAF saying they would rather stay in nice air conditioned buffet stations for their rank. However, without them most marines or troopers couldn't properly counter enemy attack formations, keep in line the more "shoot first ask questions later" members, and etc without proper discipline.
