Mathematicians do tend to be very fond of beer, so sez this lemming mathematician.
On the above-mentioned topic of Pi Day, it disturbs me that there's no day set aside for e, which I find much more intriguing. Personally, I'm in favor of setting aside five days for Euler's identity so that all five very important constants can be appreciated.

5 days set aside for Euler's identity could be clustered around Pi Day, since it's already observed.
Starting a month on a 0th day would run into the same problem as arguing whether 0 should be part of the natural numbers, and people are already strongly opinionated on that issue.

I'd also like to propose that the multiplicative inverse of e be denoted by schwa.
Actually like the idea of using schwa a lot, it represents the sort of ill sense of humor that got me interested in maths in the first place :)
I would also like to voice here my frustration over denoting inverse trigonometric functions with ^-1 while using similar notation for their powers. e.g. sin^-1 x versus sin^2 x. Not sure if this haunts the notation used with hyperbolic functions as well.
