It's a sawed-off double-barrel shotgun. Probably a 12 gauge.

its actually, a New Empire/ Cressant arms,its a pistol grip (more like a nub). its a duel independent trigger. Its chambered for !2 gage, and it will accept and fire 3.5" Nitro Mag shells. its a long arm and not an AOW or DD

That's good to know. Alot of people still saw off their stocks and barrels because it "looks badass", and don't even realize what they're doing is very illegal.
Still, looks short for a long arm.

i do belive this was done factory as a defender model. barrel was never touched. and its still legal length for barrel and overall. though the safety on it is totally fake. its connected to a piece of wood between the two trigger assemblies. the youngest this shotgun could be is 1940's though i beleive it to be late 20's possibly earier from the serial number is under 3000.

Nice find. I've yet to get myself a decent side-by-side, even though several of my fellow collectors have been popping up with some 1800's coach guns (just to make me jealous I think :-P ).
