Since this is the month for everything gothic and spooky, I decided to create my own goth girl OC who is fittingly a black cat.
Madison Macabre (Maddie for short) is a quiet, soft-spoken, and reserved introvert in her late teens with mysterious hobbies most people would find disturbing. Like her last name implies, she's into morbid and gothic themes. She's into hard rock/death metal music, and she has a guitar she practices with to make her own rock songs. She likes reading horror and dark fantasy novels during her downtime. She also likes to collect creepy taxidermy skeletons of snakes and preserved bats and spiders. Her most prized possession is a crystal ball heirloom she inherited from her great-great-great-grandparents. On certain occasions, she performs seances and rituals with it with her friends. A secret hobby of hers is that she likes to draw birds and squirrels (though she wants to keep that a secret for obvious reasons). It puts her in a good mood and calms her. She is shown to be easily annoyed if disturbed, sometimes making hollow threats like "Don't make me hurt you." but she makes sure to keep her temper (and her razor sharp claws) mostly in check (unless somebody REALLY pisses her off like breaking her things, disturbing her sleep, and going into her room without her permission.) As a child/early teen, her anger and violent behavior knew no limits. She was super disrespectful and hurtful to her peers and clawed everything out of spite, but after years of therapy, she has become a more cool, laid-back and calm person through meditation practices in private, as well as enjoying her hobbies to vent her aggression through more healthy methods. Occasionally, she also attends yoga classes with Miranda Mink, who has become a good friend of hers, despite Miranda's bright and bubbly personality contradicting Madison's (Its kinda like a Starfire/Raven dynamic). In the end, despite her harsh, sarcastic, cynical, and brooding demeanor, she is kind-hearted, well-meaning, level-headed, compassionate, and mature towards her friends and family (even if they do occasionally get on her nerves sometimes.)

She's a really interesting character. I like how she likes to collect taxidermy skeletons and preserved animals; kinda reminds of an idea I had for a goth girl in a story where she likes to collect roadkill, cut them into separate parts, mix parts belonging to different animals, and cobble them together into Frankenstein monstrosities — an idea I kinda got from this short horror film that kinda belongs in a similar vein called Road Trash.
