Description:
Elmo Gutierrez the Chihuahua hailed in Chiapas, Mexico, alongside his close friend Carlos St. Mateo the tiger. Altogether, the duo of indipendent archaelogists roamed around the jungles of Central and South America, in search of ancient artifacts and texts. In side of things, Elmo enjoyed his time listening to the melody mixed with many walks of life, let it be in urban places, countrysides or even jungles, while Carlos had a knack for communicating with his pen pal, who often gave hints where he exactly came from.
Elmo also came with his nickname "Tracker", all because of his alert response to people calling for help in exact spots, mainly contributing to his big ears that allowed him to hear such distress, even in a distance. However, he was below an average shape, because although he could get through small spaces and evade obstacles in his way, he could neither lift heavy objects nor beat down his enemies strength wise. So, Carlos, clearly an average tiger with an adequate power, was quick to do the strength work for the duo, but also always wanted to make sure that Tracker wasn't left insecure. Like, for one person with an ability to use the other could not, the same could be said on the other way around, like Tracker had great sense of hearing and accurate coordination, and Carlos bore good strength and quick fighting. Of course, the duo had some tools to help them by, like the heavily customized Swiss army knife for Tracker and a couple of camoflage equipment to enhance Carlos' stealth. Thanks to these attributes, the duo had become famous across villages and towns in almost all of the Latin America.
Around the first week of January 2022, the earthquake struck Adventure Bay, which was something none of the duo had ever heard about, but after that immediately came with Carlos' contact with his pen pal stopping abruptly. Three days after loss of communication, Carlos became worried as he used to contact with his pen pal on a daily basis, only for Tracker to inform him about the earthquake in Adventure Bay. Although sensing such a potential connection, Carlos was skeptical until he received a written message on the fourth day, in which his pen pal revealed to be a survivor of that earthquake and said to be staying in the city of Santo Tomas. Horrified by the state his pen pal was in, Carlos and Tracker flew to that city two weeks later and managed to find the affected pen pal. Carlos' pen pal turned out to be the monkey-on-the-wheelchair Ryan "Ryder" O'Kelly, often accompanied by his two close dog friends Chase Alsatian and Skye Cockapoo. Very relieved to see the monkey okay, Carlos decided to spend months with Ryder in Santo Tomas, assisting him with whatever the tiger could bring, while Tracker hanged around with the two dogs, so as to get to know them personally.
Consequently, the duo's absence in Central and South America had made room for rival archaelogists, both competitive, envious and greedy. They would stop at nothing to get whatever they wanted, even if it meant harming civilized peoples, tribes, fauna and even non-sentient creatures alike. But despite that raising a serious alarm, both Tracker and Carlos remained unaware of such a gradually degrading situation for few months, until the US ambassador to Colombia made a personal visit and pressed that issue to the duo, given that their presence was well-known in the region of Gran Colombia (specifically Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela). Alerted by this, Carlos and Tracker gave their new friends a warming goodbye before going back to South America to deal with their leeching rivals.
The duo managed to put the stop to their rivals in another couple of months, until one day where some plantation magnate named Edgar dela Cruzar united those rivals and launched the attack on Carlos and Tracker, right in Panama City. But this time it was Carlos alone, because he was tending to Tracker who had gotten sick with a flu, which came out as both bad timing and an advantage the scheming magnate could exploit. Realizing the overwhelming opposition coming from his rivals, the worried tiger had no choice but to smuggle the sickly and unconscious Tracker at midnight to the care of his elderly friend boarding the leaving freighter, which unbeknownst to both parties involved was bound for Santo Tomas. Afterwards, the rivals managed to find Carlos and left him to drown in the Panama Canal, but that left Edgar worried, now that Tracker managed to escape. At the same time, all the unconcious chihuahua could do was hearing the last struggles of the defenseless tiger drowning and left in vain, while lying straight in a less adequate quality bunk bed, right inside the freighter itself.
It was around November 2022, when Tracker had woken up and heard what happened from the elderly mariner, and was left furious, confirming what he had heard back at that night. Realizing the freighter's arrival at the seaport of Santo Tomas, Tracker immediately left the ship and found Ryder at the bus stop at the northern part of the city, where the monkey boy was at the time watching the potential recruits, undergoing health inspection before boarding the bus bound for Mt. Tingganda Military Base, the very site for the MALAKAS Project. Ryder was surprised to see Tracker alone, but also saddened about the terrible fate of Carlos. The monkey on wheelchair would usually bring a traumatized friend to his home to give them comfort, but because he was supposed to stay in the mountain base due agreement with the North family, he could no longer simply do that. Now seeing the potential in the lost chihuahua though, Ryder offered to join the MALAKAS Project, promising Tracker a chance to avenge his late tiger friend and then a place (alongside Chase and Skye) in the PAW Patrol, the new team set to save the world from bad actors enforcing harm onto innocent people. Tracker was immediately on board with it, but due to still having a flu, was personally brought by Ryder to the mountain base, and then brought into recruitment with the North's assistance.
Initially motivated by revenge, Tracker prioritized working out harder on a daily basis, until few days later where Skye and Chase talked him out of his anger and grief, which convinced him to spend a week off mourning for the loss of his close friend. In matter of few weeks, with new friends (including new PAW Patrollers Rocky, Rubble, Zuma, and Ella and Tuck) on his side, this allowed Tracker to not only progress steadily and properly, but to also grow a better character in him, one that was filled with newly developed confidence and courage. However, the PAW Patrollers would take a break from workout routine starting December 1, so as to help other recruits prepare for a huge Christmas party, but thanks to Tracker's hearing instincts, some of them prioritized on hardening defenses around the mountain base, with the help of the Norths, of course. Unfortunately, their future invaders, i.e. the Double Dougs from the far north region of Cascadia had brought something that would affect the whole of Santo Tomas, as well as its neighboring towns.
