A Swamp Bear! They're quite docile despite the large size, and this one has a small friend atop her head. He says the payment for a ride is 'two fruits and 20g, or 40g if you dont have any fruit', have to make sure the big girl gets fed afterall! Let's hope Aeron and Citali have enough to pay for a ride across the marsh, it'd be much faster than taking the long way around the wetlands.

I almost said "GIGADILLO!!", then realized it wasn't. But I am okay with this.

Is the foliage on the bear's back its own ecosystem, or merely like moss growing on a tree?

I've gotten a few 'dillo' comments from friends lmao~
Like moss growing on a tree, various little plant seeds find their way onto the fur from swimming in marshes and swamps, eventually they'll grow too large and detach, spreading growth throughout the region~
