Though Luca the weregorilla had learned to keep control over his animal side, he was feeling uncharacteristically edgy and irritable during that October. Fearing he might endanger his loved ones, he decided to barricade himself in some abandoned cabin in the woods for the upcoming full moon, which coincided with Halloween.
Little did Luca know that the combined effects of the moon and the spirit of the pagan-rooted celebration would trigger a metamorphosis unlike he had ever experienced. Ha ha no I don't think so ^^
I haven't given much thought about the origin of his animal side. When I commissioned Pac to draw the TF sequence where Luca made his introduction as a weregorilla, I asked her to take inspiration from the oozarus in Dragon Ball, to give him a more humanoid appearance.
Guffaw dialed that inspiration to the max and made him a full-fledged oozaru for the night of Halloween.
