Name: Chaos
Species: Gargoyle (formerly human)
Born: March 19, 1978
Height: 6 feet, 6 inches
Wingspan: 14 feet
Weight: 271 pounds
Coloration:
Body: Green
Wing inside: Yellow-green
Wing backside: dark green
Hair color: Brown/ copper
Attire: Gray or white t-shirt and blue jeans.
Likes: Sparring, Gadget (after a bit of time), beating her at certain games, both intentionally and unintentionally driving her crazy, computers, movies and the occasional good book.
Dislikes: Being called a monster, thugs, having somebody making fun of his or Gadget's beak, and any comment that suggests he's interested in Gadget (again, for a while this is true).
One of the first pictures of my gargoyle character, Chaos. And yes, I was a huge of fan of the show Gargoyles by Disney. I want to say came up with the idea of him some time in later 2000 or early 2001 after meeting other fans of the show. While a small part of him is based on Brooklyn's design, he is not related to Brooklyn in any way. Chaos's gargoyle should have hatched somewhere in Ireland (maybe 13th, or 14th century).
Part of the story behind him is that he was originally born as a human, but on night of his 20th birthday, he suddenly awoke as a different species due to a spell he was not aware of. Nor was prepared for the sudden change. It was both a blessing, and a curse. Heightened senses, the ability to glide, and the concrete cure all of stone sleep (save for still being nearsighted; while his vision does improve, he is still considered nearsighted as a gargoyle) . While he could remember being human, he could not remember his name or parts of his past. After a few nights, he managed to run across a clan of gargoyles, who took him under their wings.
I did do quite a bit of writing dealing with Chaos in the past. Trying to come to grips with his new form, learning how to fight, and getting used to new instincts and heightened senses. And also coming to gripes with new desires when a female gargoyle named Gadget catches his attention... and he catches hers as well. Early on, I had planned for it to take a few years for the two to sort out their feelings for another. But over the last few years, or so, it has shortened quite a bit.
And after all of these years, I still don't know what Chaos's human name was. I need to fix that.
