EDIT: I'm a dumb-dumb and forgot that the back paws on female Shinx are colored blue. Fixed them.

A while back, I had a dream where my Pikachu OC Tosca looked after an orphaned lion. I of course had to draw a new OC based off of that, so she and Wesley have two kids now. :D

Cheche is a wild Shinx that Tosca's trainer Cole found while heading home from his grandfather's house one cold winter day. She was found on Route 38 being chased by a very large and aggressive Raticate (which was how she got the scar on her right front leg) which Tosca was able to drive off with her Thunderbolt attack. Nearby they found her deceased mother who appeared to have died from starvation. Luxrays were rarely seen in the Johto region, and it was even rarer to see a wild one that was all alone without a pack. Since she had a wound that needed to be treated, Cole captured her so that he could take her to the nearest Pokemon Center to be healed.

Since she had lost her mother, Cole decided to keep and look after Cheche. She was very timid and skittish at first, the complete opposite of how a Shinx usually behaves, but she soon adjusts to her new environment and forms a close bond with her savior, Tosca. Having lost her own mother in a similar fashion, Tosca completely understood what she was going through and assured Cheche that everything would be okay and that she would have a good home here with Cole and his other Pokemon. Cheche ends up seeing Tosca and her mate Wesley as her new parents and also becomes very close with their single son. She eventually evolves into a Luxray under Cole's care and is occasionally used in rotation on his team in competitive battles.
