My own recipe! All made from scratch but the noodles!
Recipe:
1 and a half pre cooked chicken breast
1 box of Rotini
Shredded mozzarella cheese
2 cups of milk
1 cup of water
Bacon
Salt (garlic salt or seasoning salt works better)
Mayonnaise
Directions:
1: preheat the oven to 350 degrees, or turn the broiler to low. Take a good pan and put 8 or 9 pieces in there, then put in oven for 45 minutes or until crispy
2: meanwhile, boil some salted water for the rotini, and cut the precooked chicken breasts into fourths, then hand pull the meat for the desired texture
3: By the time the chicken is hand pulled, the bacon should be done. Put it out on a plate lined with a paper towel, and let the grease drain. Once it’s drained for a bit, put in a bag and crush the bacon into pieces.
4: meanwhile, pour the pasta into the pot, allowing it to cook about half way, so the core is still hard while the outside is soft. Drain the pasta.
5: using the same pot as the pasta, pour the 2 cups of milk and one cup of water into the pot, putting on medium low heat. Take a few handfuls of mozzarella cheese and 3 spoonfulls of mayonnaise and put into the milk, stir until dissolved, may be a tiny bit gritty, turn the stove off to allow to cool, add water as needed. If it’s thickened, add about 1/4 cup of water to allow it to be less thick for the oven process.
6: Mix the bacon, rotini, and chicken into the sauce, making sure it is evenly covered. Add 2 tablespoons of salt to the mixture and mix evenly.
7: Preheat oven to 350 degrees or set broiler to low. Pour the mixture into a pan, spread evenly throughout the pan. Add some shredded cheese to the top of it, and put in the oven for 30 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes and it’s ready to serve!
Tips: I used the broiler for the desired effect in presentation, but you can use the oven, it works just the same just without the crust effect.
