Bucky is celebrating the birthday of his adopted son, Veni (short for Venison, sounds like Benny). Veni was originally Bucky’s friend, the hero Stretch Shep, but after a near death experience, Stretch Shep sacrificed himself and was reverted back into a child, and Bucky, not having the heart to abandon his friend in his time of need, decided to raise him himself as his own son. Seeing Bucky as his father, Veni without realizing it, reactivated his shapeshifting powers and took on the form of a big bottomed fawn, and hence, Veni was born.
When Veni re-ages back into an adult, Bucky will reveal the truth to him and he will decide for himself whether he’ll continue being Veni or go back to being Stretch Shep.

Nah, he’s had them since he became Veni, the thing with big bottomed bucks is that when you remove their gloves, they have hooves like on their feet underneath, without their gloves on, their dexterity is greatly limited. Their gloves when on, function like a normal hand would. Bucky doesn’t really get it himself but it’s why he prefers keeping his gloves on rather than off.
Also, Bucky got Veni both new toys and clothes for his birthday.

Yeah, Bu and Kee are essentially Veni’s older brothers, so they would take him along with them to go trick-or-treating.
They sometimes drag Veni along into their shenanigans but they are also very protective as well, won’t tolerate anyone bullying their little brother.
They’re aware he used to be their “Uncle Shep” but don’t saying anything out of respect for Bucky and Jane’s wishes.
Veni also thinks his older brothers are super cool due to their various alien powers and is also defensive when anybody calls his brothers a two-headed freak.

This was before Bu and Kee had mastered shapeshifting/fusion, so there were some people who were aware of them being two headed green deer children but they often fell for Bucky’s poor excuse that the family used to live next to a nuclear reactor. Later the twins would also learn how to erase memories as well.
Veni didn’t remember being Shep originally but after he re-grew up, he decided he was happy as Veni and decided to keep Veni as his default form/persona, though I think it would be hilarious if he still fought evil as the elastic macho crime fighter Stretch Shep but his civilian form was mild mannered big bottomed toony goofball Veni Deerling. 😜👍🦸♂️🦌
