I'm tenacious as... i dunno, something really tenacious. After losing everything 'cept the sunset I repainted this from scratch... the sunset probably was the most time consuming though, so at least there's THAT.
In any case, despite the fact there was a loss of detail on the characters due to the fact I had to paint it at the resolution of a 1200 pixel height JPG, it turned out not awful. I'm still damn proud of that sky 8\

What Nine's referring to shall remain... UNKNOWN. Though I am sure people will come up with pervy ideas. It is sadly not so pervy, and moreso sentimental. Because Nine is the biggest fucking sap that ever blew up brains. Mhm.

(and srsly I know the pain..my comp recently fried, I had to buy a thinking to get stuff off the hardrive, lost almost all art ad sprites save for a handful I could shove on a small flashdrive. Thankfully saved the panther pic I had been working on for months and the giant 6month 7char 75$ commission ;_; she bought be my tablet so GUAH..it was finished and I was gunna upload it the next day TT_TT ..but I saved eet)

I used to like m/m a lot but typical yaoi kinda weirds me out (rape=love doesn't fly with me, fuck that noise). Now I just kinda like a romance based on the characters themselves regardless of gender ^_^* Glad to hear you're looking forward to it! I really can't wait to get it rolling...
I do love a good sappy couple. It makes me really wish I had someone to be sappy with. @_@

I can't make a character twist their upper body like Nine is while their lower half is facing another direction. When I try, it ends up looking like they're unhealthy contortionists.

Thank yooouu T_T I used a ton of refs for the sunset, along with a few textures (though not much... most of it I just painted in). Oddly whenever I use textures I feel like a cheater haha. (I think you're referring to Dice in the pic; Nine's on left, Dice on right. I just keep forgetting to differentiate lol).
Oops, I meant Dice. @_@ It's a bad idea to go on FA when you're tripping on Nyquil, fyi!
Honestly, using a ref is a really smart idea, in my opinion. It's not like to grabbed a picture off google images and slapped it into the background. By the way, the lighter outline of the characters is a nice touch. I like it. (:

Okay, I have to ask, which is which? I've been trying to figure out who is who in these pics, but they're never without each other, so it's hard to tell.

Last I checked, nukes involve mushroom clouds. It's not anything dangerous, it's just a sunset that I deliberately manipulated to look like a phoenix burning. The setting is fantasy so I take liberties (whose to say their sunsets would look like ours anyway?) I based it more off a nebula/aurora borealis than any old boring sunset. :)
It would be physically impossible. Nine is a forty-foot tall dragon and Dice is on the small side of your average swan. I probably won't be graphically depicting sex between them, even in human form, in the comic itself either (no penetration, suggestive shots and nothing more). There's lots of reasons for this... it doesn't advance their characters to show it, it isn't part of the narrative, and I don't want to sexually objectify their relationship by making it pornographic-explicit. Not to say that sex isn't a part of the relationship, it's just not THE part, and I'm more interested in their story than their sex lives.
I'd also just... like to avoid dealing with 'so when is the porn happening?' If I just say 'there isn't going to be any' the people who are only interested in the comic for the sake of dick can move along, and the people who are invested in story over dick can enjoy it. If that makes any sense? Sorry, didn't mean to ramble, it's just something I've seriously considered where this story is concerned.
