Chapter 6 "Apart"

Halloween was come, decorations of the spooky season with the Rovers' helping out on the decorations. Snakes, food and drinks being ordered.

Hunter: *Eating the Peanut butter Carobs* Guys *waves* you gotta try these.

Colleen: I would but I'm just trying to watch my calories.

Shag: Rah rah *consumes the entire plate*

???: May I try some

Hunter: Oh sure, uhm-

Atl: Name is Atl, from Mexico.

Hunter: Oh, are you my teacher that I've been learning Spanish from?

Atl: I don't know, am I?

Hunter: Well that's why- nevermind, you're wearing your costume early?

Atl: You won't believe me if I told you where I got this from.

Master: Well then can I ask who you are, we here at the Rover HeadQuarters always register each member so we can know who was in the Transdogmifier. *The group whispers to each other and him as well*

Atl: *hands behind him* Mmm, Maybe I stayed in a Rover the first time I went in.

Master: *thinks* well that's certainly possible.

Hubert: Sorry, but we got a situation. Storm is apparently digging up something.

Master: Oh great, we'll check later. But for now you have to go and stop Storm from doing whatever he is trying to do.

Atl: *cough*

Master: Okay, and bring him along with you.

Hunter: Alrighty, to the power of the pack.

Group: *signature howl*

With the team driving towards Zachary Storm's location, the group within their uniforms ask about Atl.

Blitz: Aht- Aht- AHT-

Atl: Atl

Blitz: Okay, I can't say it. What is it that you do?

Atl: I can make fire or lightning with a snap of my finger. *Snaps for a small flame*

Hunter: Not bad, we should roast some marshmallows after this. *Breaks* we're here, now let's stay- *Atl moves quickly*

Blitz: I'm liking this new recruit. *Runs too*

The group follows as they begin to smash up Storm's machines, Shag and Blitz beings scared as ever until they pull out their bazookas, Exile and Colleen knocking out and freezing the soldiers, and Hunter and Atl having to look for Storm. With both looking down at the sinkhole.

Hunter: Woah

Atl: A giant sinkhole *looking at it with a shiver down his spine and as still as a statue until Storm used his laser gun*

Storm: This sinkhole will be your grave.

Hunter: Why don't you go deeper then?

Storm: It's deep enough to dig up more gold.

Atl: So that's what you want? I have jades instead.

Storm: Tempting, but no. You Rovers have been a pester to me long enough. *A bite on the muzzle of the gun*

Colleen jumps and kicks Storm to the wall.

Colleen: Job well done boys. Blimey *walks near the sinkhole* What was he digging?

Blitz: Hey Colleen, you saw how I bit that gun?

Colleen: Mmm, I think I could have done better, Bryce.

Blitz: it's Blitz.

Colleen: Mmm, Buttercup biscuits.

Blitz: It's Blitz!

Colleen: Mmm, no Biscuits is better.

Blitz: I'm gonna bite you so hard.

Colleen: Oh Yeah! *Angry at Blitz as she kicks and punches him to the excavator and Blitz screaming*

Atl: Ouch.

Hunter: You should probably help him up.

Colleen: Alrighty then *walks towards Blitz*

Storm wakes up to overload his laser gun to throw at Colleen and Blitz to explode for them to go inside the sinkhole. With the rest of the group on the ground, Zachary laughs maniacally then gets punched in the face by Hunter.

Hunter: *breathes angrily as he holds Zachary to his face* I'm gonna turn you into a miserable scared man *readies to punch until*

Exile: *holds him* no comrade Hunter.

Shag: *bearhugs Hunter* Rah rah rah.

Hunter: We don't know that! We don't know how far that sinkhole goes.

Atl: Then let me go down there and see.

Down inside the sinkhole, Colleen and Blitz wake up unconsciously as the sky is still bright and sunny.

Colleen: ow, I'm head. *Blitz getting up* No way we can climb up there.

Blitz: *shows out his nails* you think? *Crawls upwards until the ground collapses onto him*

Colleen: better put that on the maybe pile. *Thinks*

Blitz: What are we supposed to do?

Colleen: sit and wait. *Sits*

Blitz: Well wanna have a little date?

Colleen: Oh no, you see I already have someone, so if you don't mind if you could just find someone else.

Blitz: You don't know what you're missin'.

Colleen: I'm sure I am.

Blitz: What?

Colleen: Nothing

Blitz: So you're sure?

Colleen: Yes, Blinky. Hunter is the guy I love and care for, he has saved the day plenty of times

Blitz: So what does he have that I don't?

Colleen: Well for starters he isn't quick to anger, he doesn't talk about biting tooshies all the time, and I like a guy who doesn't complain a lot.

Blitz: so what are you saying about me? That I'm annoying?

Colleen: Well when you put it like that we do-

Blitz: *growls*

Colleen: *concern* oh no that's not what I- *back flips onto the machine once Blitz bites* Hey, careful. One wrong move and this machine could- *Both heard the excavator moving then soon landed crashing down flat. Colleen gets up* owie *then suddenly realizes* Wait, Blitz? Blitz?

Blitz: Over... Here. *Lying down*

Colleen: oh thank goodness you're- *horrifying to see the excavator on Blitz's arm* oh no, oh no oh no oh no! *Tries to lift the arm bar, but could move an inch* Oh blimey. You're gonna be alright, okay.

Blitz: Am I? Oh look, pretty stars.

Colleen: *thinks quickly as she has an idea but was too risky to follow* Okay Blitz, try to breathe as much as you can. *Tears off a piece of Blitz's suit to tie it on his arm tightly as she looks for something long and sharp. Once she found it* Blitz this is gonna hurt really really badly.

Blitz: Why don't you just leave me down here. *Tears a little* I'm completely useless to you guys. Then you don't have to deal with the likes of me anymore.

Colleen: You're not useless to us, you weren't at all. You're more than just yourself. I know that, we all do. You are a Road Rover. A friend, a comrade.

A moment of silence as both catch their breaths.

Colleen: So what is it going to be, you wanna go free from this or you want to talk about yourself?

Blitz: go.

Colleen: *grabs a rock and have Blitz chew on it* this is gonna hurt me more than it's gonna hurt you.

With Blitz's eyes closed, Colleen holds the sharp objects on the arm close to the excavator, with tears coming down, arms shake, breath holding the collie then uses the object and…

With Atl coming down, Colleen and Blitz sit with each other as Atl is horrified by what has happened. With a tug Exile, Shag and Hunter pulled the group up safely. Exile carries Blitz out and sees half of his arm missing and covered, with everyone else horrified.

Blitz: *opens his eyes* Exile? Could you please carry me? *Walks slowly towards him as Exile did carry him to the Rover vehicle*

Exile: I got you, comrade. *Worried face as he also looks at Colleen with concern*

Colleen: I'm sorry, Hunter *head down* there wasn't anything I could do. He was going into shock, I just- I just- *tears up*

Hunter: *hugs* I know, it's okay Colleen. You're both here now.

As the rest got back on to the Rover vehicle and arrived back at HQ, authorities came to capture Storm and his goons, and Colleen explained what happened, Blitz was sent to the medic for his amputated arm. The Master was told what was going on as Colleen saw the door to the operating room.

Master: Colleen?

Colleen: Please sir, I just want to be left alone right now. *Cries a little*

Master: *hand on her shoulder* you are the Hero of this mission.

Colleen: What?

Master: You saved Blitz's life and held him close to you so he wouldn't be alone down there. You put aside your differences so you can save a fellow Rover. You are a good dog.

Colleen: *wipes off her tears* ...Thank you. *Group hug*


Late at night in Blitz's room, the doberman fast asleep, and the door opens to someone walking towards him. They held him down gently as a sigh came out.

Atl: *eyes closed* Dear brother, I ask for this one's life to be spared. As I see from the time that was taken, he wouldn't have gotten treatment if we weren't close. All I ask is for you, is to spare a little blood for him, his time is not up. And we both know that. *Disappears*
