When I was deployed in Poland some years ago, I found that mushroom picking was practically a national pastime for the people of the rural areas. My buddies and I would be opening and closing gates for entire families on bikes, entering the training area with empty buckets, and then leaving with them full to the brim every single day, especially in the fall. Even McDonalds over there sold something called the Kaiser Roll, which was a burger stuffed with mushrooms, I loved it, and this helped inspire some of my worldbuilding.
Mur of the Medley also love foraging for mushrooms, learning very young what to pick and what to avoid. Here Henry is inspecting a small patch of large fungus before carrying out what he can. While he is still too young for solid food, he knows he can sell them to buy toys and comic books.
The mushrooms here were inspired by lobster mushrooms from my home state. Not only are they red like lobsters, but also have the taste.
My linework actually looks fairly decent on this one. Hope you enjoy!
