Went to see "Jurassic Park" again...
... except that this time, the entirety of the musical score was performed live by an actual orchestra as the movie plays (minus the obvious exception for the song playing in the background when Nedry meets Dodson at the outdoor restaurant).
This was a surprise from
Hamakei, and along with his mom we saw this last night. Several times my attention focused on the movie, so it was rather easy to forget the orchestra was there. :/
Definitely a nice and wonderful experience that I recommend to anyone who gets a chance.

It was. I feel sorry for the people who began leaving as the credits were rolling. I thought it was a bit disrespectful to leave while the orchestra was still playing. Not like they would have had a hard time leaving the arena, much less the parking lot or trying to beat rush traffic (it ended around 8pm on a Sunday).
Oh yes, I remember that experience vividly! I went to a session a few years back, and there's just another level of intensity with the score that can't be beaten - even with the clearest, loudest sound system.
All that was missing, were live dinosaurs for the roars, and it would have been a complete experience! Sadly (or thankfully?), InGen has no notable real-world counterpart...yet?
