Law of unintended consequences suggest that she'll get mortally wounded by the trap, her pursuers see it, see that the forest is filled with prey. Prey that is a lot more fighty than what they're used to, but the alternative is starvation, so they'll just be that much more desperate.
If I had to guess, they'll find the cubs and want to kill them, and Rask will have to step in to stop them from murdering children. Given that Oren seems pretty thrilled with the spiked pit idea, I think he's going to be initially on board with killing them too.
