- He’s an artist and he loves painting
- He has an autoimmune disorder that causes his body to attack itself (It’s a made up illness, but based loosely off Multiple Sclerosis). He has trouble walking, breathing, talking, on some days he finds himself having trouble concentrating as well. His vision is poor, he coughs a lot and is overall weak and sickly, though he tries his best to hide how bad off he is.
- He either uses a cane or wheelchair depending on how weak his legs/spine are at the time
- He used to be happily married to his husband, Martin, who was also an artist and a cook. They fostered kids together, which they then started adopting because they loved all of them too much.
- When Avery’s illness grew worse his husband couldn’t handle it and ran out on him and their children, never coming back.
