The Solis royal family has ruled the Taurus Empire for hundreds of years. In typical monarch fashion, rule passes from parent to child, but not necessarily to the eldest in line. Instead, succession is decided based on merit, both at handling the upper echelons of government and living and serving with the people.
Into such a paradigm was born Vanesa Solis. She chose to prove herself as a knight, and did well in proving her fairness and courage. Alas, while her career was always going to be cut short, Vanesa's ended shortly after she led a mission to rescue innocents from the depraved Dusk Sisters of the Demon Moon. They saved the victims and brought swift justice to the witches, but not before the witches' final revenge visited a terrible death curse on Vanesa.
The most skilled healers were summoned to save one of the potential heirs to the throne, and while they succeeded in saving her life, nothing could be done to keep her body whole. And so, Vanesa Solis became known as the Maimed Princess.
Years later, Princess Vanesa Solis has come to terms with her new life, both in terms of her new body and the role she now plays in the Empire. Royal servants aplenty serve her hand and foot, while counselors and ministers guide her as she tries her proverbial hand at steering the ship of state. Will Vanesa stand out amongst the royal heirs?
Princess Vanesa Solis is pictured here in her typical royal attire (usually a vest and mantle), including her personal selection from the crown jewels and a set of stump boots for the rare occasion when she needs to move herself around. In public, the princess has herself conveyed via wheelchair and completes her emsemble with a dress and non-functional artificial limbs.
