Spuff dwell deep in snowy forests, hiding amongst the branches where they are tended to by their Arachil parents. They are unable to spin their own webs, so their parents cover them in their warm cotton like silk. When threatened Spuff retreat into their thick fluffy coat, which protects them form a good deal of damage.

Arachil are found only in the most remote places, living in solitude save for their offspring. There they spin dense webs of fluffy silk to create warm nests for themselves and their young. These threads are highly prized for being soft, warm, stretchy and very durable. An Arachil's territory is marked with the frozen remains of those who would invade and risk harm to it or its young, their bodies turned to statues of ice by the deadly venom of Arachil's fang
