Crustacuffs are capable of unleashing a blow so fast and powerful that it creates small explosions at the point of impact. They constantly seek out harder materials to test their punches out on. Crustacuff often attack schools of scrampi, both to test out its strikes on the hard metallic armor of the smaller pokemon, and to eat their defeated opponents. As such Scrampi are constantly seeking ways of improving their armor.

Deckapod store up massive amounts of energy in this arms, weathering attacks form foes until its built up enough power to unleash a single devastating blow, often defeating their foes with a single explosive punch. It is believes the Deckapod is a direct evolutionary response to Scrampi's evolution into Flotsdum, who its self came about as a means to protect it form Crustacuff's constant attacks. It is unclear what will continue to come out of this arms race between these pokemon.
