Fun Fact: That's not what radioactive waste actually looks like - actual radioactive waste is NEVER stored in liquid form because it's too dangerous to work with, so if any radioactive liquid needs disposing of, it's mixed with silica first so it vitrifies into this black glass-like substance. Even low and intermediate waste (things like used medical gloves or spent graphite bricks), while stored in barrels, are covered with cement before the barrel is sealed.
Another fun fact: Spent fuel rods are transported in these huge casks that are so durable, that they can survive a head-on collision with a speeding train with no appreciable damage.

yes you are very right. but when people think of radioactive waste they motley think of yellow drums and green slime. Also of you are in to that stuff then check out this YouTube channel

Yes, they think of that because Hollywood and video game companies constantly depict them that way...which leads people to think that's how REAL nuclear waste is stored and ends up being a massive roadblock to the development and construction of new nuclear power plants. Which are actually far, FAR safer and more efficient than the ones already in use, but no one wants to hear that - they just stick their fingers in their ears and scream 'LALALALALALALALALALALA CAN'T HEAR YOU!' at the top of their lungs while constantly bringing up thin barrels leaking glowing green goo.
