This commission was born from the idea of voice actress Christine Mare Cabanos playing Tangle with the same voice as Mako Makanshoku from Kill La Kill. This came about when first reading the IDW Sonic run with Tangle & Whisper's Mini-Series (I'm a sucker for appealing character designs), the voice just... clicking when reading Tangle's exuberant dialogue.

I would come to read Whisper's dialogue with Erica Mendez's voice at a forced hush. Somewhat boyish like her Ryuko Matoi but not as "GAR" outside of moments when the text balloon aren't segmented. That said, Whisper would be a lot like Ryuko with more chill to her. Fallen loved ones from whom she inherits a special weapon from, seeking to avenge said fallen, meeting a hyperactive girl her age that gets her to loosen up a little, the rest.
