... or well, meet two of the three of them.
Like some of you may know, me and Veth got some rats a while back, I've wanted them for a very long time and I talked my mum into giving me some money for my birthday in advance ... allowing me to build a nice home for these gals.
That's some of the story either way.
Life's been rather odd and I'm finally starting to get the hang of it I think ... now to chain the art muse again. I hope nothing happened to it while I was slacking off D:
Oh and before I forget: yes, they come from a proper breeder - lovely lady from a nearby town. Never buy rats from petstores |<
Unfortunately, one of our sweet ladies seems to have something wrong with her - so we're a bit worried, sneezing is never a good sign and their granddad did die of a lung related issue ... fingers crossed it'll turn out ok :<

Awww cuties <3
I have ten of my own haha xDD
Pegla linked me to this xD Don't worry too much about the sneezing, they may ocassionally get sneezy due to stress (moving) or dust in the house. It is fine as long as they do not show signs of illness or sneeze constantly.
If you want to be sure you can add some Bisolvon (normal, people's Bisolvon/Broomhexine) to their water. The dosage:
* Broomhexine/Bisolvon voor volwassenen 8mg/5ml : 4 ml. op 96 ml. water.
* Broomhexine/Bisolvon voor kinderen 4mg/5ml : 8 ml. op 92 ml. water.
I would suggest getting the cheapy Kruidvat Bisolvon, trust me, it does the same xDD
Give them a hug from me <3

10 ;3 bah I'm jealous now.
Eeee thanks for the advice! <3 the breeder recommended pretty much the same regarding the 'meds' and is exactly what we planned on getting tomorrow, the sugar free thing is new to me though so that's good.
The main issue is that she's acting off as well, which is a reason for concern for us and the sneezing happens multiple times a day. It's also very likely to be the air they have here considering it's very dry, never been a fan of central heating so we'll also try adding some water on the radiator.
And no worries about spamming - we wish to know all about zeh ratties and how to take care of them.

Aww thank you! The hasn't been taken in the best of light but they now have a black coat, with underlying silver colours. I simple love all their white
It seems a lot of people have a problem with the rat tails - they look nasty and scaley to most people but when you touch them, they're perfectly nice and soft ... and there's something very comforting about having a ratty tail curled up around you.
They also don't bite - and when they do in those rare cases, it's gently and 99% of the time because they mistake your finger for food ... I always had problems with hamster surprise nipping me ... even if they were very tame little buggers.

I'd be scared they'd get it caught in the wheel or something. Hamsters are also a bit more appealing to people, so they don't run from them as frequently as people run from rats.
The food finger thing is very common. I had fried chicken on my fingers once and the hamster was about to take my finger off!! Hamsters just need love and careful handling, like any animal.

Hamsters can be very lovely creatures (just not great pets for kids in my eyes), I had great fondness for my little Siberian Hamsters, although none were as lovely as my very first one ... he was the sweetest. I do recall that particular look hamsters get in their eyes when they sniff your finger and think it's food, those couple of seconds before they bite *chuckles* at least they warned - sometimes.
