Her polished bell sounded loudly across the countryside of Wit's End, swaying side to side with each step, in sync with her udder. Her entourage, consisting of her aid, the sheriff, and a few of the council members marched with her on the long trek. Her smile never faltered as she greeted passing festival goers left right and center, being sure to pat the head of each fawn. Small wonder she was always reelected.

In their journey, they would come across a vegetable garden or a farm, and the mayor would unroll a scroll and stand up straight, her bell forcing her to hold the scroll higher. She cleared her throat and her companions stood in respectful silence.

"Oh Maker, great and always there,
In your wonderous name we offer our prayer,
In thanks for the harvest large,
Our stores full and bellies sated,
We humbly ask that you keep us in your charge,
Nourish these fields and protect our flocks,
May the land we plow be absent of rocks,
Let not our town fall to famine,
But us remember your servants below... amen."

And then she would roll up her scroll and march on to the next, her bell fading into the distance as she completed her duty.
