As the legs get lifted up into the air, all it takes is gravity to slowly lower Espeon into this "monsters" ravenous gut.
With anyone who may have been willing to help long gone, even if they were there, there's not much they could do to save him now.
He barely even struggled, Espeon seemed to just accept what was happening as soon as it started.
Ah well, better to not stress about things like this, three's nothing you could do but let yourself be devoured, struggling was fruitless.
hopefully, given that it's a friend eating him, things will turn out alright.
There's always a chance this is just a Halloween prank, right?
