Like I said, I'm trying to be serious about actually creating something, and doing it well.
I'm sorry if I'm not a master of anything yet. This is pretty much comparable to a very badly drawn sketch or scribble scrabble, but I'm learning. I don't even know much about guitars, even less on how to play them. But, I'm learning.
Unlike my first 2 attempts, I didn't go straight to try and cut out the shape for a guitar. This time I wanted to make something of a template. But I need a bit more information, not to mention some more wood and better blades.
The wood is white wood, the cheap wood they use in carpentry, or making houses and stuff. Don't think it's suited to making a guitar, but at the very least it should be good enough to make a template. I know now not to sand down my template (unless need be). The black you see on the right is my attempt at painting the "back" of it in an attempt to sand it down and make "tiger stripes". Doesn't work like that, apparently.
I said back like that because what you see was supposed to be the back, not the front, but after about 1 minute of thinking, I understand the design now, although I was attempting to make an original design. My so called "Model 10". This was made after the design of a Gretsch guitar.
My cell phone sucks, as does its camera. Sorry for low quality

Your welcome, here's the episode if you want to look at it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmvo9vpIb7E
I hope you get really good at it and make a FUrry guitar some time! That'd be SO AWESOME I'd pay good money for something like that ^-^. this is good for a template and trying out something new. I watched a special on how to make them once and took mine apart more times then I cant remember. It's not like insanely difficult so I think you should be able to do it with minimal amount of complication ^-^
Thanks, and I hope to get good, too. I know I have a long ways to go before I can call myself good, or attempt to sell, but getting out there and trying is the first step, I think. I'm more into doing this completely from scratch, so here's hoping it won't take me that long.
This is close to how I go about (or want to go about) making my guitars: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHuoZwnSEVs

Not this time, I don't think. Or rather, I will attempt a neck, but it won't be the main neck. I'll just try and use the neck I already have on my other guitar. I'll attempt to replicate the neck I have, which is a standard 21 fret neck.
I'll really start going at it when I can get money to buy much better materials. I only have white wood (very cheap soft wood used for construction/framing houses) and a rather dark piece of poplar (decent wood. may use this for the fingerboard).

I saw some in Lowes, but my money's quite limited. But I don't like how this came out anyway. It's mostly the outsides that I'll be using, as the "template" is just more of a reference. Then again, I'm still new to all of this, so maybe I'll find out what to do with it more so than I do now.
