I swapped to my Acrtis Pro headset to get some deeper base and pull the melodies apart a little. My biggest critique is right at the 2 min point. I felt like the drums and guitar were building to something, and then when it "dropped" it hit a little sour. Four notes are played on the beat, and I expected them to be higher, or a little less flat on the scale. The stanza seems to serve as a transition to the final phase of the composition, and so I realize this reflection is effected by the genre the composition is supposed to appeal to. From a "pure" metal perspective, where 3+ guitars tuned in different octaves deliver wide and reaching sound/scales. That transfer just doesn't sit well with me. From a "grunge" metal perspective, where one might only have a single guitar trying to attack the entire range of the piece. I feel like the note needs to be a little crisper. Either a little more staccato or a bit higher in the scale. My music days though are literal years behind me. Not going at all to act like an authority on music or opinions thereof in the face of potentially something new.

Anyways, I'm just trying to assure you that SOMEONE out there is listening! They may only barely have an idea of what they are talking about (me) but they are listening :)

I appreciate the deep dive into what Ive done here. Never expected anyone to take the time to add anything to this. That being said, this song was literally created and demo'd out in a day. I use these demo's more as a creative writing approach as I structure song idea's out. And that part in particular is an older idea that I want to sit in this song but I am having difficulty with it landing properly. I have a few idea's already where to work on this, including even the pacing so hopefully Ill be updating this part soon. That and this demo doesnt have bass parts or overlays so...its just missing a ton of shit xD

Still though, energy and atmosphere is being established. For a WIP, I think you're putting down some real heat here! Keep it up

I 100% agree with you and this is just my long winded way of saying why I do because I have the context on my side as why everything is currently the way it is with the demo. I write for me and me alone so critiques like this I wanna hit head on without being rude and provide context for why they are the way they are, aka, Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! xD Also I responded to this right when you did so theres another deleted comment and I am sorry for that! I appreciate you caring this much and challenging my dumb, defensive brain <3
