Art nerd stuff : Looking back on this i see a lot of little Wally Wood influences that i don't think i was aware of at the time. In my teens i would occasionally try to draw sort-of in his style.

Technical art nerd stuff : i couldn't bring the paper of the original scan all the way up to white without losing some fine lines - so i painted the area around her white - you'll notice that she's slightly darker and yellow-orange-ish if you look close (or use a filter). It makes for a wierd sort of subconscious effect, like a colour that isn't there, 'a whiter shade of pale' as the song goes.
