It was meant to be a normal party. As Chomby went inside to get the final items for the party, he could hear the festivities go on outside. He felt a tinge of longing as he could see all the happy folks dancing around -- fans of Chomby's music and friends that Chomby had gained over time.

While opening a bag of chips, he sighed and looked down. "It's weird... being the only soundbyte I know. I kinda wish everyone here was a soundbyte."

When the bag was emptied, Chomby threw the bag away and grabbed the bowl. Finally looking up, he was prepared to go back outside, but almost dropped his bowl when he saw something... off.

Soundbytes. Several of them, even! Where were his friends? Where did they all go?

Panicked, Chomby, swung the back door open. He could hear the laughter of everyone as they conversed.... He could hear names mentioned, names he was familiar with -- Syd, Bad, Lrekinan, Greg... These soundbytes looked similar to Chomby's friends, but they were the same pear shape he was.

"Was there a genie lamp next to me when I said that?" Chomby looked back inside. He couldn't see anything.

"Chomby! You gonna join us?" Syd called, causing Chomby to turn around.

"Sure thing, Syd!" Chomby replied.

The large soundbyte with a cyan-colored belly tilted their head to the side. "Who? Chomby, I don't think there's a Syd here. I'm Pathos, remember?"

"Uh..." Chomby scratched his head. He wasn't sure what was going on. He wanted to find out more but, he admitted... it was nice to see other soundbytes to party with for once.
