The dim light from the candle flickers in the cave. Who knew that even this far back from the entrance a breeze could mess with a candle's flame so. The thought was just an amusing distraction for the giant spider, who had a bundle of their webbing laid out before them on a cobbled together table; the best they could manage. No one besides the spider could know about their plan, well... no one living anyways. An idle thought of the past of how the spider acquired the human skull surfaces, the look of fear and anguish as the necrotic venom seeped the life away. The human had wandered too close to its lair, glimpsed too much knowledge to be left alive, there are worse fates the spider could have subjected it to.
The idle clicking of the spider's legs against wood echo as it dutifully focuses on its task, as the undead servants watch from just beyond the candle's glow. Yes, there were definitely worse fates, but the spider had enough already to accomplish its mission...

Happy Halloween guys! Have this spooky piece depicting a spider crafting something no doubt nefarious! This actually was a piece I spent a long break from finishing but figured it'd be a GREAT Halloween piece so I got it finished in time for the festivities! The spider is actually a character owned by a friend, who will remain anonymous. I am so happy they allowed me to draw them, and I value their friendship greatly. Here's to great Halloween for all the spooky scary skeletons that wander the streets tonight...
