The other pic 'Contained Fury' was set up with a red coloured glass bubble, this one was a clear bubble with a small indent on the base so after trying different angles i chose this one because i liked this angle the best.
I think for not actively taking photos for a while i'm not doing all that bad :) if anyones got any ideas/tips/pointers please feel free to stick them below .. i can't improve if i don't get insightful feedback *wags*

Wow... This is a nice photo! I like the black and white; it makes it very abstract! C: I like the composition, too... It's not too symmetrical. Your values are really good too, and the greatest highlight is right on the main point of interest. I'd say it's awesome! |D Brilliant work!
meep! *blushes and smiles wagging gently* thank you for your nice comment, i tend to do still life through trial and error.. i just have trouble remembering all the settings ;) but i'm starting to find the groove that works for me so hopefully i'll be able to keep my standards up heheh *wags* thanks again
Yeah... No problem. c: This kind of stuff would make an awesome desktop or something. You've obviously got some talent when it comes to finding something interesting to take a picture of. I took the liberty of poking around your gallery a bit~ You got some fine work, my friend! C:
n.n this is the kind of feedback that keeps me going and motivates me to find new things, thank you again for your words.. i've been dabbling with photography for a few years but never gotten hooked into it but this year i'm going to make an effort to try new things and i have a couple of holidays planned for later in the year for sight seeing.
Excellent! :D I wanna travel like... right now. But can't. :c ...and yeah, I totally understand. C: I've got a nice camera, but I've never really gotten into photography. xD ...I mainly use my camera as a scanner for my sketchbook. Kind of a shame to waste an SLR on just that, but... xD Ah well.
Hope you have fun on your holidays! C:

Thanks my friend *wags* you should try your hand at a few things, its how i started out with a standard digital camera then it kind of branched out and i bought my first DSLR (an entry level Sony) which got me further into photography and as i improved i was eyeing the Canon 50D and treated myself last year to it as the prices dropped down to my budget... then wouldn't you know it if Canon release the 60D which has better specs than mine.
Although i'm not all about "my camera does this and yours can't" because thats just lame, i love my Canon and have gotten some excellent results, but yush holiday planning will be interesting as finances are a little tight this year but i might be able to escape up North somewhere :) heh

Yeh... :D I have a Nikon D90 myself. Beautiful camera. <3 I love it dearly. I bought it with a really awesome macro lens which is fun to play with once in a while... It also doubles as telephoto. I really should take it outside more and see what I can do with it. xD
For a while, I kinda got into some long-exposure shots of the systems I have around my room... xD I think out of all photography, that has to be my favorite. :D

thats what photography is all about, finding something you like taking pictures of and learning new techniques for other stuff along the way, i highly recommend sunrise and sunset shots along with lunar photography if you can get a lens long enough for it hehe.. i uploaded a shot of the moon on here but you can tell i need more practice (and a longer reaching lens)
Thanks again :)
Thanks again :)
definitely :3 makes a change from what normally goes on round here, not that i'm complaining of course because i've made a great many friends here and have gotten alot of feedback that has helped me out in the past... but sometimes its nice to have a chat with someone on a more intelligent basis n.n
