The day was finally here! Sora Donald and Goofy traveled as fast as they could to Halloween Town to celebrate such a fun date in the best place to do it.

“Everyone must be at the Square” Sora said pointing at the, still decorated with Christmas lights, alleyway.

Soon as they started to walk towards it, Jack’s loyal friend, Zero appeared, unaware of the gang’s presence, the trio exchanged glances maliciously ready to strike.

They tried to make the ugliest grimaces and roared as loud as they could but Zero only turned and looked at them confused.

“Ah, tough crowd. I guess Zero is used to it” said Sora disappointed.

Their friends witnessed the whole scene not far from there, each getting different thoughts about it but bearing the same meaning: Our junior heroes just weren’t cut out for the job.

I know I already said that this pic was the first Kingdom Hearts picture I drew since 2019 (This Larxene pic was the last) but let’s be honest, it isn’t, that’s a YCH I already drew without the original intention of doing cub Sora, I actually remembered his lion form waaay after I made the YCH base xD

So, this pic is the first one, why did it take so long for me to post something about this franchise when I used to draw and post a lot about it before? Simple, Kingdom Hearts III and all that came after it. Now, I’m aware that I’m about to say may piss off some people and I understand, but I think that this is the right time to talk about it, I was going to originally put this here but it was too long so I decided to do a Drive Document with it, you can check it out here. If you really like KH3 I recommend you to just don’t read it, instead you can read details about the process of making below x3

About the pic! I haven’t drawn Sora’s Halloween Town design in years (Since 2017, if you’re curious, check here) and that pic was just a last-minute draft xD

I really like his Halloween Town look but if I have to pick a fave in the same world, I’d pick Sora’s “dark” Santa look x3

Anyway, I drew the sketch fairly fast and also did the lineart in record time lol, it was the coloring that took more, adding Donald and Goofy also made it take more but I really wanted to take the challenge and add them to the picture, gotta say that Donald’s bandages were the ones that took the most, both for the lineart and coloring.

Background was done faster than anything else lol. I really wanted to add the iconic hill to the picture and picked KH2’s world design as the perfect background which is also near Zero’s house in the game, also the story is around KH2’s time, not KH1. I just prefer KH2 world design better and of course their characterizations in that game are the best so it was better to set it up in KH2’s events rather than the first game.
