Sigourney quietly walked through the graveyard, holding her lantern in search of her quarry. It was an unusally chilly and foggy night in Barren, on All Hallows’ Eve. The air laid quite, save for the occasional light breeze.
“Were could they possibly be? The villagers said they saw in the Graveyard!” the wolf Frustratingly barked.
The city lord had held a celebration within the citadel. Nearly everyone had showed up to celebrate and uphold many traditions of All Hallow’s Eve. But not long after night fell two gentlemen burst through the door shouting, “Spirits! Spirits, in the graveyard!” As they approached the city lord they began to voice their concerns. The city lord assured the men that he would send someone to investigate the situation. Not one to let the sacredness of the night be tarnished Sigourney volunteered to investigate and made haste to the graveyard. Sigourney knew to well that tonight was a night when spirits could easily enter back into the mortal world. With the moon also vacant from the sky she did not want to risk the chance that the spirits were evil.
“With as scared those villagers were you would think that these spirits would be in plain sight!” she shouted. “But I’ve been searching this graveyard for some time and nothing.”
Sigourney sighed “Maybe I should head back to the city. For all I know those two were just spooked by someone pulling a prank. Besides, it would be a shame to let the time Sharlian put into making this dress for me to go to waste.”
As she turned to head back a faint glow in the distant fog caught her eye. “Was that a spirit?” she whispered to herself. Quietly made her way over, the light growing brighter as she drew nearer. Soon she came to a large clearing in the fog and there before her were several spirits. Sigourney quickly dove behind a gravestone, and cautiously peered from behind it. “There they are?” she said to her self. “But what are they doing?”
Curiously the spirits seemed to be flying in a circle bobbing up and down; almost as if they were dancing. Sigourney carefully started to make her way forward, moving from gravestone to gravestone to avoid being seen. Soon she was at a good spot to see what it was they where doing, as she peered from behind the gravestone she was left puzzled. Aside from the spirits and gravestones there was nothing there. No sorcerer, no portal, nothing.
“What are they up to?” she questioned puzzlingly.
Just then the spirits began to stop and move in a way that seemed to indicate they were looking at something. “Do they see me?” Sigourney pondered not long after they stopped the spirits began to slowly dance towards Sigourney. Knowing that they were aware of her presence Sigourney stood up and held up her lantern. The spirts once again began to dance in a circle, this time around Sigourney.
Concernedly Sigourney looked around and asked, “Who are you, and what is it that you want?”
But the spirits gave no answer, and only continued to dance around her. Every thing in Sigourney’s mind told her she should run, but there was something inside her that told her not to. What was this feeling she felt, fear, concern, sympathy? Whatever it was she knew it was not caused by a spell or any other witchcraft, it came from within herself. Not to much longer one of the spirits approached Sigourney. It slowly danced close around her before it gently flew and entered her belly.
“What in the name of the moon just happened?!” Sigourney exclaimed with a combination of shock and concern in her voice. Looking down she quickly place a hand on the middle of her stomach were the spirit had entered. The inside of her belly felt warm, both inside and slightly to the touch. But there was something else, a feeling like butterflies in her stomach. Was this the spirit moving inside her? No, it was something else. It would not take long before the answer presented itself. Her belly slowly began to expand.
“Wha-what’s happening to me?” she shouted in concern “my belly! It’s growing!” In her shock Sigourney dropped her lantern, which shattered and extinguished. “Why is this happening? How is this Happening?” Sigourney asked in both confusion and shock.
Sigourney then looked up at the remaining spirits around her. They continued to slowly dance through the air, with a couple slowly approaching her. Left to in shock to move, Sigourney could only watch as the spirits descended and entered into her belly as well. As each spirit entered her belly it began to expand slightly faster, making her dress feel more tight with each new addition.
“My belly! My dress!” she shouted. Not wanting her dress to be torn apart, she began to pull up her dress. As she brought the waist of her dress above her belly, her hands grazed her chest, which she could feel were expanding as well.
“My breasts as well?” she exclaimed. Cupping both her breasts in her hands she could feel them growing and becoming heavier. She then gazed down to her side, and to her shock her hips and thighs were getting slightly larger to. “My hips too? What is happening?”
Sigourney then looked back up at the spirits, who were all starting to approach her. As they continued to enter her belly it continued to grow larger and larger. As it continued to grow she could feel her belly becoming tighter, but it did not truly hurt. In fact this feeling felt oddly familiar. As the last spirit entered her belly, it’s growth began to slow; and eventually coming to a stop. Sigourney stood dumbfounded at the sight before her.
“I’m s-so….MASSIVE.” She exclaimed, bringing both of her hands to the sides of her belly. Slowly rubbing her belly she took in the sight before her. “Its almost as big as me!” she said in shock. As she continued to rub her belly she took into mind what it felt like. It was both firm and tight, but oddly soft to the touch as well. As she continued to ponder the sight and touch of her belly before her she began to wonder. “By all accounts I should be afraid of what has happened to me; but I’m not. Why is that?”
As she pondered these things in her head she could feel something begin to slowly stir in her belly. Was this the spirits trying to poses he? Were they about to burst forth from her? No, she thought to her self it’s something else. Something familiar to her, but what? It would not take long before she got her answer. As she could see and feel a small bump slowly raise from her belly and then lower.
“Th-that was a kick!” she exclaimed in shock. Rubbing her belly more she could feel a couple more kicks inside her. “I’m pregnant!” she exclaimed a slight hint of concern in her voice.
As she continued to slowly rub her belly, her concern slowly turned to motherly joy. “You were just lost souls seeking to be reborn weren’t you?” she asked, with a comforting voice. As she continued to rub her belly she could feel her new children gently stirring within her. With a comforting voice she spoke “shhh, now. You’re fine. I’ll gladly be your mother little ones.” Shortly after speaking the movement in her belly began to die down. “There you go, all better now.” She said with a smile on her face. Sigourney stood still continuing to rubbing her belly enjoying the feeling of being filled with like once again. Chuckling to her self she spoke to her belly. “You know this isn’t the first time I’ve been a mother, but it’s certainly the largest I’ve been.”Shorlty after she patted before putting hands on her hips.
“Well then little ones, shall we return home and show you to everyone?” Sigourney asked, feeling a few light kicks in her belly in response. “I’ll take that as a yes.” She replied with a giggle.
Placing her hands on her belly she began to turn around to head back to the city. As she passed by her broken lantern she sighed. “It’s certainly going to be a bit harder to find my way home with out a light.” Shortly after the fog began to clear and the light of the moon began to shine down. “Well thats awfully convenient. She said with a smile. With the moon lighting her path she began to make her way home with a spring to her step. As the city began to come into view she gave her belly a pat and said “well where almost home little one’s.” She looked down at her belly she chuckled. “Hopefully the nursery will be big enough for all of you.
