You’ve got a homophone typo in the last sentence, but otherwise a solid character intro. It’s gonna be hard for me not to just think of her as “the Cheeto” with her colors and hybrid name. 😄

Bleh... fixed that. Shouldn't edit these things when I'm so tired. Also she could just be the cheeto if you'd like. I just found other people who had made similar hybrids called them cheetoxes so I just went with it.

She actually came about because I was messing around with AI art generators about a year ago and trying to get a cheetah and a fox as separate characters, but it kept combining them into weird foxes with cheetah patterns on them. I kind of liked them so I decided to just draw the idea myself.

I do not agree with this Chancellor Kotsin one bit! To be head of an academic institution and to actively search for a means of keeping someone out is... well, that's just academic business in the end, but I still disapprove!

I'll be interested to see how Kira manages at the university... and how Kaj goes about messing with her.

Yeah, Kotsin is a bit of a dick. Still he's looking out for the self-interests of the school and faculty as the expense of the students. Doesn't mean I'm at all on his side in this.

And yes, I'm sure Kaj will figure out something dastardly to do to her that I'm sure in no way will backfire...

Well, this story made me feel a little angry about this situation despite it being short and me not knowing the character, haha. I guess it means it's written well enough.

I would be happy if she managed to develop all her necessary skills on her own, without this academia. If they don't want her, she could become independent of circumstances of this sort. If you will write something more about this world or even this character, I will definitely want to read it. :P An interesting idea overall!

Thanks for reading it. This is actually her introduction to the setting. I'll probably try and get something with her actually in the scene soon to try and give her a voice. My original plan was to briefly cut over to her at the end of this exchange, but it did not add much without heavily expanding it into another scene or two so I decided to just cut it here.

This is actually part of a continuing series that I'm just not writing in any sort of chronological order. Mainly because when I started I did not have a complete plan and path of where I was going with some of this so I'm leaving myself open to inserting things at the start to try and tell a more coherent tale eventually. I think I've made ten cannon story elements at this point between written stories and small comics. There's also a bunch of bonus images between a species guide for the interpretation of the kitsune that I've come up for the setting, a bunch of character ref sheets with more information about them (still working on these for all of the characters), as well as a bunch of just smaller maybe cannon maybe not images that I've drawn of the cast.
