When Duel and Nathan got married on Kaerwyn last year on Christmas, Jakkal's Endymion Gaelin sent a wedding gift of two matched and ornately decorated daggers to celebrate the union. Duel loves dragons, and her piece of the set had a dragon motif, and Nathan's had an owl motif to it.

When Nathan asked Endymion about it, he was told that it was a "Here's to your survival" present common to drifters on his world.

I offered this commission to Jakkal first, but she decided she didn't want to design the weapons, so I went to Sandy Schreiber and she was willing. So the art you see is hers.
