Endae is not a welcoming planet. Water is scarce, and the pools are filled with monsters beyond your comprehension, Child. Their eyes are lights in the darkness, and their mouths can swallow something much larger than you. They paralyze you with those eyes of theirs and then, they grasp you, tear you, shred you, and leave your pieces on the shore. I would not recommend swimming.

For your crossposting pleasure, I give you some concept art for an alien world I have been working on. I honestly think these things are adorable.

The symbol on their heads works kind of like the patterns on a cuttlefish or squid. These creatures spend most of their time buried in sand or mud. The symbol usually mimics something bright or shiny in an attempt to lure something into picking it up.

They're sort of like antlions in the sense that they rely on their prey falling into a trap. Having a mouth on your neck isn't exactly convenient, so they lie on their backs with their chins tucked inward and just wait for dinner to bend over and drop on in.

...I kindof want to make a plush one. Or maybe a sleeping bag. Ah well, that's a project for another day when I actually, you know, have a budget.
