I'm probably never going to hear the end of this, but...
A few nights ago I had a dream and this image is what I saw in that dream. Apart from the stars, which still aren't quite right, this is pretty much exactly what I saw. Here's what I wrote in my Dream Log:
"I found myself in the Castle of the Royal Pony Sisters (from MY LITTLE PONY: FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC). It was one of those 'POV' dreams, so I had no sense of 'self,' but I was most likely a pony. I was in a huge atrium with large, bay windows. It was night and I could see the stars through the windows. On the other side of this big room I saw a balcony (I was apparently on one of the upper levels of the castle). Standing on the balcony, looking up at the sky, was Princess Luna.
"Luna was performing her nightly task of raising the moon. As soon as the orb was about level with her head, she looked back at me [this is the image I have depicted]. She looked a little older than in the series, but not quite as 'grown up' as Celestia or Nightmare Moon. She asked me to join her on the balcony.
"When I got there she asked me what I was thinking. I told her that I wouldn't mind if the night did indeed last forever (a reference to the MLP pilot episode). She put her head on my shoulder (or the pony equivalent of my shoulder) and I closed my eyes...
"...And then I woke up."
Uploaded in honor of tonight's spectacular full moon. Enjoy!

One of the reasons why I keep a dream log is that the act of writing down the details helps you to remember your dreams. It's always best to do this as soon as you wake up. But even if you get to it later in the day it can still help you to recall those details that quickly fade away.
