Thanks to their personality cores, the Nekusuits can often become like partners and companions to the Nezumi who they are assigned to. The Nezumi may even develop stronger relations with their robotic companions from extensive missions. When outside of the duties of battle, these robotic felines act like sentries and guards for their pilots. It seldom heard of a Nekusuit leaving the side of their designated user whilst on sentry duty unless otherwise ordered by them. They're known to openly converse with their pilots and may sometimes express concerns of them being out in the open or undefended. A protective personality developed towards their users seems likely when such thoughts and concerns are openly expressed. This further supports the ideals that the bonds between pilots and their mechanized felines become more than mission orientated camaraderie.
Here we see an instance of a Nekusuit on sentry duty as escorts and provides security for this high ranking Nezumi officer. Noticeably, this model is a smaller variant termed as a 'Knight' [Technical model: The MKV-1]. A smaller variant of standard KV-1 model used for frontline warfare that is instead relegated to security and protection roles whether of military bases or naval installations as base defense and guards. They are also often in charge of the protection and escort of important or high ranking officials as their bodyguards. The Knights are often given much more informal terminology by their bigger 'brethren' and some of the Empire personnel to name these robotic Nekus such as 'Minie', 'Kit', 'Hopper'. Due to their small stature, the Knights carry smaller variants of the main armaments such as a particle laser cannon and anti-personnel frag launchers, double as flasher launchers for disorientation of threats, replacing the heavier duty missile launchers equipped on the battle mechs.
Smaller robo kitties be very cute. Even if they're not exactly to scale here as the Nezumi be a bit smaller in size. But I still enjoy the two beings here being together. The concerned looked of the protective robot kitty. It makes me wish to pet them heh.
