I have a Sphinx character now lol
they originated in SL and i thought they were cool so, here they are
he had an outfit but i didn't like how it looked so it's on hold for now
and yeah, that middle part is transparent (but not necessarily glass) and there is Mysterious Golden Fluid™ in there. just go with it. rule of cool.
His name is literally just "gold" in Greek 🤷♂️
