There's quite a few shapes as i have seen, and some of them do resemble a Dao, so there is SOME level of familiarity between them. Unsurprising given the islands the klewang was created on are in the general sphere of influence of the makers of Daos, so I would not be surprised if they put their own spin on it (in some cases seemingly literally) and ran with it.
