Do you ever feel sometimes you are being watched? Like somewhere in the darkness something lurks, you stare into the gloom, searching, seeking, hoping for some hint of what you sense.
But little do you know that as you stare into the darkness, the darkness itself stares back, the deepest shadows watching your every move with keen interest.
It swirls and shifts all around you like mist, shadows within shadows, flowing from form to form like water, whatever its whim for a shadow can be anything it wishes.
Do your eyes deceive you? Do they play cruel tricks as you catch the grinning shadow of a wolf, or glimpse scales of a dragons wing?
Sometimes perhaps, but not all.
Sometimes, you really aren't alone.
A demon, a monster, a man, formless yet whole, the deepest dark that stalks you, haunts you, hunts you.
You can't hide in the shadows, when the shadow itself is watching.
